How many hours do you need, when is the best time, and what does the price include? Practical answers to help you choose the right yacht.
A private yacht is one of the things visitors ask us about most, because in two or three hours you see what would take a full day on land: palaces and mosques on both shores, the bridges, the sea air, and a privacy you never get on public boats. Here is what we tell our guests before they book.
How many hours?
The minimum is two hours, enough for a loop between the two Bosphorus bridges with time for photos. For a big family or a celebration, three hours feel more relaxed.
Choosing the yacht
- Guests first: every yacht shows its maximum on its page; pick one a little larger than your group.
- The pier: yachts leave from different marinas on the Bosphorus; one close to your hotel saves time.
- The class: higher classes mean more indoor space, a bigger open deck and better hospitality.

What the price includes
The price is for the whole yacht, not per person, with the crew, fuel and the cruise. Extras such as a birthday cake, decoration, a photographer or a violinist are chosen while booking, with their price shown at once.
Small things that make a difference
- Book at least two days ahead in summer and on holidays: evening times fill up fast.
- Bring a light jacket, even in summer; the deck is cooler than the street.
- Tell us in the booking notes about small children or older guests, so boarding is easy.
